Well folks, things are happening! For a few months now we’ve been working hard with getting all the interior for the first issue of The Arliden Society done, and in the past week we’ve been juggling the social media aspect of LumicPress. I was originally a little on the fence about starting it up so early, but I realized that there’s no time better than right now—especially since the books are still in production, and social media would be a good place to keep everyone updated and informed.

And speaking about updates—consider being added to our mailing list! Emails will be sent only when we have major updates on book releases, any calls for ARC readers (advanced reading copies), or eventually calls for submissions from creators.
As usual, art progress is being made for the first issue of Arliden Society. We’re hoping on getting a few limited copies of physical issues out for November 26th at Genghis Con in Cleveland! These issues won’t be the official releases (so there won’t be an ISBN) but more so as a bit of promotional for the press.

“Lewick was once a prodigy destined for greatness within the illusive Arliden Society, an organization for humans with special abilities—but now, his powers are no more, and he has nowhere left to turn. Nuriene is a young orphan on the verge of losing her livelihood as a newspaper journalist. In the wake of uncertainty, two teenagers cross paths while in search of an answer to their issues.”
