Whew, time flies!! I can't believe it's already be

Whew, time flies!! I can't believe it's already been nearly two weeks since my classes at Lake Erie Ink. I didn't get to take many pictures, but here was the beginning of my setup for the pieces of the origami doll class! There are definitely so many things that I've learned after my second year teaching workshops, but the first thing would be to make sure you constantly keep track of the time. Because when it came to that origami class, I definitely lost track of time!! 😅 Hopefully next year I'll get to teach another origami class and an inking/manga drawing class, and I'd love to improve with every year going forward!! Woo, a book cover reveal!! There may be some slight edits to it in the final version, but this is what I'm going with for right now. Also, the final version will have more pages. For right now, I need to make some edits and then I will be accepting some ARCs for it. I didn't initially want to print any copies so soon, but I really needed to spread the word about Lumicpress at the expo in person, and printing books were the only way to do it. Thankfully I was able to garner a bit of interest!

It's been quite awhile since my last post on here, but plans are definitely brewing!! For right now though, here's a quick preview of a craft kit I'm putting together which will be freely available to try out! I'll be putting some printables and instructions together for origami paper dolls soon once I finish taking all the pictures. I'm hoping that, in addition to books, I'd also like for Lumicpress to be able to provide crafts and activity materials as well on the website.

I have been switching gears a bit recently and decided to work on the script and character concepts for the next installment of the comic, "Charu!" to which one issue was released last year. I plan to make some edits to this comic series (and hopefully collect way more pages into a larger volume) before officially publishing it on Lumicpress!
